Yogassage
Individual session $75
Group up to 16 people $25 per person
All equipment is provided
Yogassage is designed to induce a pronounced state of relaxation.
The key components of Yogassage are mindfulness, sound healing, stretching, deep breathing, guided meditation, and therapeutic touch.
This is a fully clothed 60-75 minute session. You will be on yoga mats, bolstered for comfort, and blankets for warmth.
You will begin with a focus on your breath. You will then be moved into very supportive yoga based restorative positions, ranging from seated, to prone and supine positions. The supportive aspect comes from the use of many props: bolsters; blocks; and blankets. There should be no pain, and endless variations to ensure you are comfortable and fully supported throughout the session. You do not need to have any experience with yoga, the positions are only restorative and will not entail any balance or long holds. These positions are seated and lying, so no standing. Each position will be held for 5 to 8 minutes.
While you are being supported in the positions, Kristy will be coming around and massaging different body parts such as arms, hands, low back, legs, feet, neck, and head. She will be making sure you are comfortable and pressure is good.
This is NOT A DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE. (Studies have demonstrated that light to medium pressure is most effective at promoting relaxation and the resulting benefits. Any deeper and the pain receptors are activated, making it difficult to access that rest/ relaxation mode.)
While you are in the restorative positions, you will be bathed in healing sounds and frequencies.
To end the session you will be guided through a meditation to quiet your mind and connect you with your inner self. Listen as a Live Sound Immersion whisks you into a quiet meditative state.
The session ends with completely grounding you and clearing the space of the energies that have been released.
Delicious cold tea or spa water will be offered at the end to hydrate and revitalize you before you leave.
